Introduction to Fencing: 6th through 8th grades:
Introducing the Olympic sport of fencing and a transition to varsity fencing at Princeton High School. The students will develop the fundamentals of fencing footwork and bladework in prescribed drills, progressing to dry and electric bouting in all three weapons
- Agility and coordination exercises
- Footwork: EnGarde, Advance, Retreat, Lunge in tactical combinations
- Bladework: Attack and defense in the primary lines of sixte, quarte, octave and septieme
- After basic skills are demonstrated fencers can progress towards bouting situations
- Practice in all three disciplines of Sabre, Foil and Epee
- Classes are Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
- Six Weeks starting Monday April 9th

Fencing Fundamentals: 4th and 5th grades:
Introducing the fundamentals of fencing movement and agility through simplified drills and games that isolate techniques and tactics of footwork and timing on the fencing piste.
- Agility and coordination exercises: focus on coordinating hands and feet independently
- Fencing Footwork: Advance, Retreat and Lunge
- Emphasis tactical and technical discipline with simplified fencing drills and tactical scenarios
- After basic footwork is mastered lessons will progress to training with the coach with fencing blades standard attacks, parries and ripostes
- After fundamentals are demonstrated fencers can progress to open bouts.
- Classes are Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
- Six Weeks starting Monday April 9th
